Programming Links

Carl and Gary's Visual Basic Home Page
This is the mother of all VB link sites, whatever you are looking for you should be able to find a link to it here.

The Common Controls Replacement Project
These guys are busy re-writing all the ActiveX controls that ship with VB to make them better. If you've ever wanted to customise a common dialog box or add an explorer treeview to your program then this is where you need to be. The best part is that all the controls are free to download!

Hardcore Visual Basic on the Web
Well I recommend Bruce McKinney's Hardcore Visual Basic book in the book section and here I recommend that you check out his web site.

CodeGuru
This place has a lot of code samples and links to code samples. What's more they have loads of stuff on C++ Windows programming with MFC and ATL. Well worth a look.

Reliable Software
It's not as easy to find good C++ info on the internet as it is for VB. This web site has an entire online book about C++ written by an ex-microsoft employee. Most of it's good stuff but you somtimes get the feeling that he is not the greatest fan of the company he used to work for...
