Software Links GkSetup This is an excellent freeware package for creating application setup programs. Enough said. Avi2mpg This is a free program for encoding AVI files to the MPEG-1 standard. MPEG-1 is the format used for video CD's so if you want to play your videos from CD then this is the tool for you. I have used avi2mpg to compress 5 minutes of VHS quality video down to approximately 50MB. Source code is also available in case you feel like getting your hands dirty. Windows 95 Power Toys The Windows Power Toys supplied by Microsoft are a great collection of utilities. All those little things you might want to do, from removing icons off the desk top to changing the speed of your start menu, are all made possible. Shell Extension City If, like me, you just can't stop yourself messing about with the Windows user interface then you'll love this place.
